This is more than theory.
This methodology is rooted in an 800-year-old tradition of Franciscan Renewal—a lineage of leaders who specialised in renewing crumbling systems from the bottom up, without ever owning the resources they managed. We have translated that historical resilience into a modern, research-backed system for today's leaders.

Our Founder,

Heather, started out wanting to help church communities that had never had competent or safe leadership to experience a second chance at life.
This led to 20+ years of learning on the job, plus 6 years of doctoral research, discovering how to rebuild disadvantaged communities. In that time, she worked with 62 change leaders from a wide range of sectors, across 11 nations, to develop a transferable method for Systemic Renewal.

Systemic Renewal
draws from critical and Franciscan pedagogies,

systemic action research methodologies, restorative practice and narrative therapy. Our programs are designed for people of all faiths and none, from NGO, government and private sector settings.

We are governed by
a team of leaders who are themselves leading exceptional change in under-resourced settings,

and who are committed to a Franciscan way of life. This includes coaching leaders each year, for free.

In our second year, we are currently gathering an Advisory Board, chaired by Heather, who is licensed by the Anglican Diocese of Melbourne to lead this work.

Our Commitment to Racial Justice and Equality
As we grow, we are committed to being a multicultural, multi-ethnic and multi-racial community

with a leadership team that reflects the diversity of humanity. This includes having a minimum of 50% representation of women in our leadership team. We are committed to a ten-point plan to actively engage in playing our part to address racism, sexism and classism wherever it exists. We commit 100% of our profits to training and partnering with leaders in the majority, developing world.
